Bloom is Ireland largest garden festival that takes place each year over the June bank holiday weekend but is not just for pretty flowers and well designed gardens! As the festival was hosted by Bord Bia there was all sorts happening for food lovers! Such as the Irish Cheese awards and appearances from Neven Maguire and Donal Skehan.
As well as good food, Bloom also had a craft beer tent where some of the Ireland best brewers were selling there wears. I ran into Stephen Clinch from Trouble Brewing who was promoting there new porter which I would highly recommend. I also had a long talk with Daniel Emerson of Stonewell Cider about the state of mass produced ciders. The Porter House and Carlow Brewing (better know as O'Hara's) were also in attendance.
There was also an area dedicated to Irish crafts with workshops, when I was there on Friday it was Printmaker with Adele Stanley.
